Compressor: This compresses and circulates the refrigerant in the system. Condenser: This changes the phase of the refrigerant from gas to liquid and expels heat removed from the freon. Expansion valve (or orifice tube in some vehicles): This device is somewhat of a nozzle and functions to simultaneously drop the pressure of the refrigerant liquid, meter its flow, and atomize it. Evaporator: This transfers heat to the refrigerant from the air blown across it, cooling your car. Receiver-Dryer or Accumulator: This functions as a filter for the refrigerant/oil, removing moisture and other contaminants.

MUST replace filter drier or accumulator. MUST replace orifice tube or liquid line that contains orifice tube (if applicable). Inspect/replace thermostatic expansion valve & clean inlet screen (if applicable).

Check for proper air flow through cooling fins of condenser & radiator (condenser MUST be replaced if your vehicle has a parallel flow condenser and contamination is present in the system). Check for proper fan clutch or electric fan operation. Must add correct type & amount of refrigerant oil (refer to OEM or compressor manufacturers specifications). Note: If condenser has the drier attached then the condenser must be changed to satisfy the proper installation requirements.
