Power Brake Booster fits 1963-1967 Chevrolet Corvette + GM Disc Drum Master Kit
1963 - 1967 Chevy Corvette 9 Single Brake Booster w/ Bail Top Master Cylinder. This listing is for a brand new 9 single diaphragm zinc power brake booster and master cylinder. This booster is an exact copy of the original 1963 1964 1965 1966 and 1967 Corvette. This booster is no longer produced by GM and is only available in this duplicate form. Remember, this is brand new and is an exact copy of 1963-67 Corvette 9 booster.
The master cylinder is a 1 1/8th bore also brand new and is ready for disc/disc, disc/drum, and drum/drum applications. Take advantage of this deal while it lasts! This listing is with a. Includes a brand new GM style Disc/drum self-adjusting proportioning valve.
This valve has a zinc coated finish. This valve is also call a combination valve, as it performs all of the necessary valving functions with a disc brake conversion. This valve comes complete with the mounting bracket and lines to mount to the master cylinder.The lines are setup to mount into 3/8 outlets. The bracket and line setup is designed to mount the valve to the left side (driver's side) of the master cylinder. These functions include the following.
Proportioning: As more force is applied to the brakes and the car begins to lean forward, less braking force is needed in the rear. This valve decreases the pressure to the rear, preventing lock up. Metering: Metering is used in the front disk brake portion in the disc/drum system to delay application of the front discs allowing the slower reacting drum brakes to catch up.This provides rear stability on wet surfaces and helps prevent front pad wear. There is no metering function with the disc/disc setup. System Failure Switch: This valve has a system failure switch that will alert you when half of your braking system is not working properly. This is a must for any disc brake conversion. GH9018 + 3512 + PV2 Kit (#20).
